The first step in the refinishing process is properly cleaning the surface to be refinished. We remove
any caulking then use an industrial cleaner, or acid wash to remove any impurities. This will also make the surface pourous
to promote adhesion. We then use a tack cloth to remove any dust or dirt particles that may have fallen in the tub. Next the primer
is applied. The tub is then wiped out with a tack cloth again before the final coats are applied. We then apply several
coats of acrylic urethane (glazecoat) any color you choose. Prior to spraying, the tub is taped and papered off
to prevent any overspray. We also cover all vertical surfaces. Proper ventilation is also very important to prevent overspray
and excessive odors. We use a ventilator to ensure proper ventilation. After spraying the glazecoat the paper is removed
and new caulking is applied. The entire process takes approximately 2-3 hours for a standard tub, slightly longer for a tub
and tile or full bathroom. We do ask that you allow 24 hours for the finish to cure before use. We are members of the Better Business Bureau.
